Hi, I’m Will, founder of Intestinal Fortitude. In 2012, I woke up feeling awful, blaming it on an all-you-can-eat crab leg dinner. But the symptoms didn’t go away.
After multiple doctor visits and failed treatments, a GI specialist diagnosed me with Crohn’s disease. Faced with a lifelong medication plan, I refused to accept that fate—and set out to find a better way.

The Search for a Better Solution
I dove deep into research, reading blogs, joining IBD communities, and studying every supplement that showed promise. I tested dozens of ingredients, covering my bathroom sink with bottles while tracking what worked and what didn’t.
After hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, I finally discovered a blend that gave me years of nearly symptom-free living. But I quickly realized a major problem:

About Us
Hello, my name is Will and I am the founder of Intestinal Fortitude. I woke up one morning back in 2012 sick as a dog. Based on the symptoms, and the all-you-can-eat Crab Leg dinner from the night before, I thought I had food poisoning. Unfortunately, the symptoms persisted for weeks. A trip to the doctor and a short round of antibiotics got me feeling better for a few days, but then it started again. Another trip to the same doctor and a longer round of antibiotics really did the trick... for a few days.
At this point I was referred to a Gastrointestinal (GI) specialist who listened to my plight and promptly informed me that I most likely had Ulcerative Colitis (UC). WTF? I swallowed a pill-cam and wore a "sweet" fanny pack contraption to work the next day. The results? Inconclusive! So, I signed up for my first ever colonoscopy. The results? I didn't have UC, I had Crohn's disease. Double WTF? The GI doc put me on Prednisone and sulfasalazine, and began to lay out my options for long-term medication. Mind you, I'm in my mid-30's at this point and am not excited about 60+ years of drugs. So, I politely declined and set about researching alternative methods with which to deal with this disease.
I read every blog, joined every IBD related facebook group I could find, Googled every term I could think of. If someone mentioned what had helped them, I wrote it down. Then I went back to Google and looked to see if there were any scientific studies behind these ingredients. I bought and tried dozens of individual supplements. There were so many bottles on my bathroom sink that there was barely room for my toothbrush. Hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation brought me to the "blend" that has given me several years of almost symptom-free living.
The more I searched and the more I learned, the more I grew concerned with the quality and trustworthiness of the supplements on the market. I knew I'd potentially be taking these for the rest of my life, and I could already see how expensive that was going to be. I knew that the only way that I could keep the quality up and the price down was to start my own company.
I teamed up with a Doctor of Pharmacology to “tweak” my blends for professional manufacturing. I searched for and interviewed many different potential manufacturing partners. (Some of these conversations let me know that I was 100% right to be concerned about the supplement industry). And then AI-5, GLR-6, and PRO-B11 were born! Like a spark of Divine light, the name Intestinal Fortitude just popped into my head and so it began... now you get to benefit from that fateful decision.

I have been taking the Intestinal Fortitude colostrum capsules for a while. I was planning to switch to the powder to make it easier to take a bigger dose. When I saw the Boosted Colostrum it seemed like a better choice. Prebiotics are important, and I've read some interesting things about the powers of Manuka. I'm pleased with the taste and how well it blends into my smoothies.
A great addition to the Intestinal Fortitude line! I was able to replace other colostrum brands with this and it is a great product. I mix it in my daily skyr and it’s an easy way to keep gut issues at bay! :) My hair and skin definitely benefit from this in my diet but, most importantly, my health benefits as well. Highly recommend this and all the Intestinal Fortitude products!
I’ve heard a ton of good things about colostrum but what drew me to this particular product is the sourcing and the mission. I love how they use grass-fed cows from New Zealand. I’ve read that New Zealand’s cattle is highly sought after for health purposes. Second is their mission to support IBD research as I suffer from UC. I also really love how they’ve kept it straight and to the point - ONE single ingredient. This supplement has been amazing for me so far and I can’t wait to continue to see the benefits. It tastes great (kind of like sweet buttermilk) and mixes well (I use a hand frother). Great value for the quality of the source.I definitely recommend giving it a try.
I’m currently taking the GLR-6 and the Pro-B11 and they have helped me recover from an IBS flare very quickly, I started first with the GLR-6 upping the daily dose until reaching the 4 daily capsules, and when that was tolerated without issues I started with half a capsule per day of probiotics for 6 days because I get a bit bloated and gassy when starting on new probiotics. When eating outside I take an extra capsule of the probiotics and I have noticed that this helps me tolerate better the restaurant meals which might have a lot more oils and fats than what I’m used to at home.
The stool consistency has greatly improved, which correlates with better food digestion. I’m pretty happy with the probiotics, I see myself taking them indefinitely, since I have been feeling much better and as long as they are available I see them as an investment in my physical and mental health.
This company is reliable and give personal attention as needed. The products are phenomenal.
Forget omeprozole - L -glutamine works wonders. My reflux is under control with no side effects. Love it❤️
I’ve been using these products for more than six months now due to Celiac related leaky gut issues that have caused problems with nutrient absorption. I seem to be doing much better.

I have sooo much energy when I take one capsule of colostrum in the morning. I cannot take this every day. Maybe I’d get used to it, but I kind of don’t want to. It’s really great for those days that I want to ski really hard or I have to be super mom for the day. I’ll take it hiking and backpacking with me this summer. I haven’t noticed any effect other than the super energy. But if energy is what you’re looking for this is the stuff.
I have had problems with my colon and my Gastroenterologist recommended this because of its strength.
I have been very happy with the results. Now my lady partner and her son also take it.
I had a GI map that showed one of my keystone bacteria species (Faecalibacterium prausnitzii) was too low to detect. After consistent use of prebiotic gold, I have since tested in a normal range. This is the exact suppliement to boost that particular strain. Gut health is everything and as I've gotten older I've had to pay a lot closer attention to my diet and supplements. This is good stuff!!
I have both IBS and IBD (UC) and I've struggled to manage IBS while on remission of IBD. The GLR-6 has been great to manage the IBS, I've been able to eat things that previously I couldn't (on small amounts), and when I eat something that my bowels don't like, I recover much faster, just a few days instead of several weeks. Please note that I'm also taking the Phage-1, which is supposed to keep the bad bacteria under control, so I can't tell exactly which is doing more, but I've definitely felt better a few weeks after I started taking both daily.
